I have sold the heck out of them recently. Seems many here in Illinois, where we are alsmost exclusively slug only, are moving this direciton. I have been moving T/C's with Nikon Slughunter BDC's in years past and felt it was largely the only thing that would produce decent accuracy past 100 yards; this has been largely born out through the success rate of guys I have talked to that use them.

The Savage showed up more regularly last year at the 300 yard range I work at, and they have been just what I expected from Savage...an inexpensive (we sell them at $499 in MOBU, blued), well concieved and very accurate 110 based 20 gauge 'rifle'. It carries poorly, being waaaay muzzle heavy, but I assume this to not be anyones idea of a driving suitable gun; sort of a treestand only proposition. If the cheap plastic stock were filled it might really inprove the handling, but carryability will likely never be there. If I were to pick on another area, it would be the magazine. Seems cheap and I have always had trouble getting them in and out during a demo. Again though, I doubt quick mag changes are going to be an issue!

Along those same lines, look at the 110-ML...really cool and I have seen them produce some really sick groups at 2 and 300 yards.

I checked with 2 friends (customers) who are hunters & target shooters. Both are happy with theirs. One has shot 1 1/2" & 1 3/4" groups using 3" Rem Accu-Tips at 100 yds. Other brands gave good 2 shot groups, but then a flyer. Suggestions are to not let the barrel heat up and try a 1 pc scope base or rail. He wasn't happy with the recoil pad or the plastic mag and thought the barrel was too light. Another friend shot "playing card" sized groups with 2 3/4" Rem Accu-Tips. He recommended shooting with the barrel dirty. You can check out Randy Wakeman's site for more info.
