I assume your gun lacks a decocker, right?

I'm pretty sure that you can turn an ordinary SA/DA Sig into a DAO by swapping out only the hammer.

I suppose it should be possible to do the reverse by installing the correct hammer, decocker, grips, and maybe other fire control parts. I don't know if it would be cost-effective to do all this, though. I suspect by the time you paid a gunsmith to acquire the parts and install them, not to mention possible devaluing of the gun you started with by the conversion, you'd probably have just been better off selling your DAO gun and buying one in the configuration you like or doing a swap.

You might contact SIG directly if they can do this conversion for you.

As to a 357 sig conversion, yeah, that should be relatively easy, I think:

Thanks you are right about the cost part.. So i will enjoy the dao reliability and its probably going to be better for liability should I ever need to take care of any bad guy... Which I will not hesitate to do if my life or family were at stake...

You do not need to obtain .357 sig mag. .40 is the parent case and
either cal mag will work with either cal. Also most quality 9/.40/357
mags will work with all cals.- 9in.40,.40 in 9mm etc. Try and you will
    be pleasantly surprised.
