Help indentifing cartridge

I am putting together a cartridge collection and have one I can't indentify. It is a 45 caliber straight wall case that measures 2.05" rim diameter is .60" and on the head of the case it has a 7 and then about 1/3 around the head is a T and the about another third around the head is 86 the case also appears to be made of copper. Any help is appreciated. Terrill.

    45-70 made in July of 1886. I can't remember what arsonal that "T" stands for off the top of my head.
    While I see yours is .050 short of a normal 45-70, it's within the "normal" range for the era.
    That said, it is closer to length to a M-33 Cannon primer, but the copper case takes that out of consideration.
