870 or 870 Express?

Have any of you seen a Remington Express marked only as "Remington 870" on the left side of the receiver or could this be a 870 with the express finish?

  It is most likely an 870 SPS, it looks like the Express dull finnish, but is decidedly darker. The stocks, if they are not plastic/composite, are real walnut, not walnut stained hardwood.
  
  All 870 Express shotguns that I know of, say that.

  Thanx, the finish is darker than the express, almost black. This gun has a 18" cyl bore bbl, extended mag tube, pistol grips & heat shield. Marked on the left side "Remington 870"

  If its a Rem 870 express its marked as express.
  There is the Rem 870 wingmaster glossy american walnut stock
  
  and Rem 870 express dull matt finish w/ natural stock
  and a 870 express mag "
  " police "
  
  They are all Remington 870
