Win 94 30-30 info and value * Bert H*
Can I get the story on this rifle and maybe a value to put it on the auction side. Bluing is real good except for the receiver which has none, serial no. is 2736777 . Thanks in advance for the help..............TOM

Hello Tom,
What you have is a 1964 vintage gun that is in typical condition for its age. The unfortunate fact, is that it is a Post-1963 gun... which means that it is outside of the collectable era, and it is merely a "shooter". My advise is to list it with a $250 opening bid, no reserve, and let the potential buyers decide what it is ultimately worth.0 -
Thanks Bert, going to list it tomorrow.
Whats the deal with the receiver? Doesn't look like regular gun metal, seems kind of tinish??, Looks fake, if you know what I mean. Thanks again ...TOM0 -

The post 1963 Model 94 receiver frames were made out of "sintered" (cast) steel versus forged milled steel. It has a funny color, and it did not hold bluing worth a damn.0
