colt conversion

I have a vintage Colt 1911 22 conversion, it only cames with one magazine, can anyone tell me if the Colt ACE mag will fit my conversion? thanks

been looking at a colt 22 conversion on an essex frame that is supposed to be in fine shape...got me buffaloed as to whether this might be a good deal about 1/2 price some ace 22 out there..dug thru threads here but have little experience with this type setup...appreciate any facts or opinions..thanks

Hello The Essex frames were hit or miss on quality control . The good ones were very good but the worst ones had magazine well in the wrong place and was out of spec with slide stop pin hole. . You also have the problem with what small parts were used and Who installed /fitted these parts. With that said if the price is right and you have some experience with 1911 pistols then I say go for it a conversion unit alone is worth $400.00 + or -
