Marlin 39A .22 LR Lever
Hi I'm trying to identify a gun.
These are all of the details I can remember:
Marlin (I believe)
take down 22 rifle
fired 22 longs or shorts
lever action
bough new around 1992
take down kind of popped into place and had a screw bolt that you could do by hand on the right side
it came with a black carrying bag (cloth) with yellow writing on the side (quite large writing)
Can anyone help me identify this gun?
is it a Marlin 39A .22 LR Lever??
I'm looking for an exact replacement..
If anyone has this gun and is willing to sell it, please contact me. It must have the original bag.

Hi - That sounds like the Marlin TDS carbine:

That looks exactly like it but the stock had no pattern (waffling ??) and the wood was darker ... 0 -

They didn't all have checkered stocks. Here's another one:

That is the exact gun.. Would you happen to know where i can find one... It doesn't need to be in perfect condition.. good condition is preferable..

I just posted different pics but I know that's what you're looking for. They're very popular so you need to keep checking the auctions. At least you now know the model. You're welcome. [:)]0 -
