flex tip bullets for tube fed lever guns
Any of you tried out Hornaday's flex tip ammo in tube fed rifles like the Model 94? Results?

Well that is what they were made for.
Lots of good reviews all over the place.
I have a couple of boxes for my .45-70. I have only shot 5 rounds and you sure know they go off.
I have a bunch of .30-30 brass to load and I plan on doing it with these bullets.0 -
I've tried them and seeing is believing, they do cut drop rate in half or better. 0 -
I have had the pleasure of shooting them in both a Marlin 45-70 and Marlin .450 Marlin. Grouped very well in both rifles and functioned flawlessly.

I've used them in .45/70- and .35 rem. both work well (note: older Marlin rifles need a new magazine follower to prevent jamming, btdt, a $5 part). 0 -

I have used them in the Henry and the Marlin in 357 Mag, and have seen a noticeable improvement in accuracy at 100 yards.0 -

I sighted in a Marlin 336 to about center of bullseye with regular 30-30 ammo. I then switched to the Flex tip to fine tune, first shot I looked and wondered how I missed the target, 2nd shot I saw were I barely hit the top edge of the target, I was shooting a good 10" high at 100yds with the Flex tip compared to reg 30-30. It made a believer out of me. 0 -

That's pretty amazing. You shootin handloads?0 -
I think they made the levergun much better. My marlin in .308 ME shoots much flatter w them . I would say that drop is reduced by 30 percent at 200 yards and 40 percent at 250 I dont shoot much past that... 0 -
