500 Nitro Express 3", Made by Eley in London, Engl
I recently was given some brass casings that have active primers in them (no powder or bullet).
They are 3" long and have Eley London 500 embossed as the head stamp. Can anybody tell me what they are for, what they are worth, and is there a market for them? If there is a market for them, what are the arenas that I would try and sell them? Thanks in advance.

"The .500 Nitro Express is a British centerfire fire rifle cartridge.
Derived from the 1880 black powder .500 Black Powder Express cartridge, the smokeless version appeared in the 1890s. It was offered with 3" (76.2 mm) and 3?" (82.06 mm) cases, differing only in the chamber pressure developed.
In power, the .500 Nitro actually outperforms the modern .458 Winchester slightly.[2] While more popular in India than Africa, it is sufficient for even thick-skinned dangerous game, like the elephant and cape buffalo. It is considered overpowered for anything in North America.
The .500 Nitro Express is still commonly used today. Norma is producing loaded .500 Nitro ammunition, and Jamison International is producing brass cases for reloading."
