Citori 525 Sporting With No Engraving?
Howdy! New to this forum. I saw a Citori 525 Sporting with a 32" ported barrel and 3" chamber today...it fit well and was listed a a "prototype?". The store stated that this specific gun was bought straight from Browning and came with 4 chokes. One thing was different...this gun had no engraving! Is that unusual for a Citori 525 Sporting? The gun wood looked nice and the shotgun looked pretty "quality fit and finish". This gun looked like stainless steel. I wanted a longer barrel and the 3" chamber... so I feel lucky to find a quality gun at half the price. Have any of you seen a gun without engraving? How much less should that gun be for no engraving? Purchase or not? Mostly shooting pheasants, ducks and clays. Thanks for any answer you might provide.

The current modelis the 625 so the gun you are looking at is "old stock".
I have a 525 sporting golden clays and it is loaded with engraving. Not sure what the value would be for a model without engraving but in my opinion it would make for a substantial reduction in value.0 -
Thank you. It seems it was to be engraved by a distributer, but I don't know. What do you think would be appropriate cost for this gun? 0 -
is the receiver entirely unmarked or does it have browning on the sides and the model number & grade on the bottom of the receiver? what's the seller asking for it? possibly one between the 525 to 625 transition? get the serial number and call browning. i think a plain silver nitride receiver would look great! a grade 0! (and yes, i still love my grade 1 425[:)] ) 0 -
It is completely clean with no markings. I have tried to call Browning but have not been able to get a hold of them. Here is a link to the place that has it. The gun actually looks a lot nicer than the pics. Let me know what you think. show.http://www.{elsewhere}/902921660/Guns/Shotguns/Browning-Shotguns/Over-Unders/Citori/Trap-Skeet/Browning_525_Unique_Sporting_no_engraving_12ga_32_as_New.htm# 0
