IDF Israeli FN Mauser in 7.62

I just got on a trade an FN 7.62 Israeli mauser 98. It IS NOT a German WWII. Got all the Israeli markings. Its in really MINT condition. ( I thought they they saw some hard use). I have never seen anything like that. ANY information will help. PS. I am not much into collecting and may decide to trade it or sale it. Any info on Value would help too.

  I will. It has an Israeli emblem, marked 7.62, Made by FN.

  FN made these on contact for Israel in the early 50's. They were made in 8mm mauser and converted to 7.62 Nato by re-barreling them in the 60's. Most of these are rough and a truly nice one would be rare. I would think it would be in the $400.00 price range.

  a realy nice one will bring more than 400.00, i would pay 500.00 for one in realy nice shape,i paid 350.00 for a dot 45 post war rebuild in ex con. imported by armscorp several years ago and thought i got a good deal. eastbank.

  I am NOT going to start a bidding war, but I'd also pay over $400 for an excellent condition Israeli-modified .308 Mauser, without a second's hesitation.

  I took pics and will post hem on my lunch break. The rifle looks like it was never issued. Its weird. I cant find any import markings?
