Getting back gun rights
Awile back someone asked about how a person with a felony could get back their rights to own guns. Someone said it would cost hundreds of dollars. NOT TRUE!!! A friend got a D felony (possesion controlled substance) in Indiana in 79. He applied to NY Parole Board where he now lives for a Relief from Disability. The NY Parole board said he'd have to get clearance from Indiana. He contacted the Indiana Parole board. They called him and told him they would send him the forms for a Pardon. The person he spoke to said its no big deal and they issue said pardons all the time seeing as he has no other criminal record. The NY Parole Officer who first interviewed him and sent the forms to the NY Parole board told him once he got the forms and a case number to call him and he would write a letter to the Indiana Parole Board reccomending granting of a pardon. No money changed hands just a lot of paperwork and finding the proper agency. So if you know anyone in need of getting their gun rights restored tell them to contact their state parole board.

You do not need a attorney to have pardons or expongements done. There are time requirements and things do change. 0
