Not in a good mood-Rust
Just opened my gun safe to wipe down my guns and happened to grab my new mini 14 first- bought this gun in october. I clean my guns every time i use them and when i need something to do, however i peeked down the barrel and found rust. I cleaned it up as much as i could, nothing i would really worry about, however what can i do to keep this from happening? i always run a lightly oiled patch through the barrel before i put my guns away, however didnt really seem to help this one.

if your safe is a fire safe try to get a dehumidifier if you don't have one. nothing special. you can get a $30 dehumidifier that you stick in the safe and after a while just check it and plug into the wall to dry it out and put it back in.the instructions should tell you how it works. i got mine at dicks it's a Remington. and it works great! no rust in my safe. good luck
