Colt 1851 Navy 36 cal 2nd generation pair

I have a pair of these with consecutive serial numbers new in box with all paper. Silver plated backstraps/square trigger guards. How much would these sell for? Any info appreciated!

    I am a long-time Colt Collector, specializing in all 3 generations of Percussion Colts. Personally, I do not think that consecutive serial numbers on 2nd or 3rd generation percussion Colts warrent a premium price.
    Therefore I suggest that you offer them for an opening bid of $500.00 to $600.00 each or between $1000.00 to $1200.00 for the pair. Please note that a matched pair of M1860 Colt Armieswith consecutive serial numbers, Factory cased with Shoulder Stock and accessories regularly retails for between $1250 to $2000 on the internet.

    It depends if they are "C" series or "F" series and when they were manufactured. What are the serial numbers? You can X out the last 3 digits. What are the model numbers written on the boxes? Also, what do the boxes look like? Black? Woodgrain? Tan?

    Most places allow blackpowder revolvers to be sent directly to the buyer with the exception of New Jersey, NY City, Washington, DC and possibly a few other places. Be sure to state that the buyer needs to comply with their local laws.

    OK, those are "C" series revolvers made in 1974 and the more desirable boxes. A lot of people collect Colt 2nd Generation Colts and would enjoy having consecutive numbered Navies. I would list them at $999 with no reserve and expect to get around $1,200-$1,300 by the time the auction ends.

    Here are a couple of my "C" series Colts; the top one is factory engraved.

    Spider7115, the engraved model is outstanding! The quality of these seems to be as high as a regular colt centerfire revolver made during this time period. Thanks for the information! I made a big mistake at the time not purchasing the matching double wood case and loading accessories as these would have really been striking with the pair.

    By the way, "Second Generation" Colts will letter through the Colt factory if you want to spend the money whereas the "Third Generation Signature Series" will not.

    Thanks for the compliment. It was a Colt factory "show gun" at the 1978 Las Vegas gun show. Here are a few more pics:

    An outstanding gun. From the limited view of it, I think the engraving may have been done by A.A. White himself! I know envy is a sin, but ENVY, ENVY, ENVY!
