38-55 win 1894 load data
just picked up .379 260 grain cast bullets for my ant. winchester 1894.i cant find any load data for the 260 grain bullet.any loads that work safely.

im trying to load 38-55 for a old winchester model 1894 26 inch rifle.first problem is case lengh.have several books with different data 2.080-2.085-2.129.and trying to find powder data using 245 gr .380 cast bullet. 0 -
a case full of 'trail boss', just fill it up to the base of the bullet. you cann't go wrong. 0 -
IMR book says start 6grs-7grs Trailboss, should give you about 900fps. Should be safe for you old Winchester.
