Hello If you want to replace The front sight In my opinion this would be a good time to replace both the front and rear sight . Be aware if you don't replace the rear sight then you need to use the same height front sight that came on the pistol. I suggest the Target type sights that have a taller front sight and Adjustable rear sight IF you want to shoot different weight bullets and you are shooting at targets . However if this is a carry type pistol then I suggest a type of sight that does not have sharp corners they can SNAG on clothes . If you expect to be shooting in the DARK then Night Sights seem to be very popular . Not my cup of tea but popular with the Tactical Look shooters. The Older Bomar Rib that had both a front and rear sight mounted to the rib "if you can find one " is the best sights money can buy for target work and of course you can install a scope mount on the frame or slide and mount a RED DOT scope. Double click on my name and send me an email and I will send Pictures of all kinds of sights mounted on 1911 Type pistols . 0
