There is a $5 rubber wedge you can install to tighten it up...

A little bit of play is normal in most AR'S. A accuwedge will tighten them up. The play doesn't hurt anything.

The Accuwedge solves it all for a few bucks.

The Accuwedge works, or you can loop a small rubber O ring around the hinge pin. I'm always told the play hurts nothing, I'd like to hear from the really serious AR shooter types too. I'm not, but being abolt action shooter I always bed my upper to a particular lower. I just don't care for the feeling of two half guns pinned together, I like the gun to feel as one unit. Just my foible, I have no idea if it has an impact.

If play is BAD then there are a few thousand defective rifles around our military right now! [:D] I remember back when I went through basic training and handling that M16A2. That thing had tens of thousands of rounds through it and it rattled A LOT! At some point it might affect your shooting, but it's not a huge detriment to the rifle. If I were buying the rifle though, I would definitely want to invest in the accuwedge. Like dfletcher just said, it's nice when you feel like your gun is in one piece when you're shooting it![8D]
