NEED ADVICE INSTALLING STEVENS FAVORITE BUTTSTOCK

I was given a Stevens Favorite 1915, everything is there except the forend and buttstock and the upper and lower tang screws. I've seen several companies that sell the replacement stocks. My question is, are the upper and lower tang screws screwed directly into the buttstock or into some type threaded anchor? Thanks for your help.

    The screws on the Favorite, either the 1894 or the 1915 models,screw directly into the wood.
    The stocks are not that rare and if you follow the auctions you should be able to find Stevens made variations.
