S&W 686 w/8 3/8

I have a S&W model 686 with the 8 3/8" barrel that I am in the market to trade or sell. The only ones that I have seen listed seemed a little high. What is the value. It is in excellent shape and have all the original papers and box.

    Go to the auction side and use the advanced search engine for completed auctions. Then sort the page into those with the most bids.
    That will filter out all the ones listed for un godly amounts that haven't sold. Look at the ones that have actually sold as well as those that had reserve not met. Those with a reserve not met often have bids on them which can give you an idea as to what the bidders thought it was worth versus what the seller had it listed for on the reserve.
    Many bidders won't bid on a firearm that has a reserve, I generally won't, particularly if the Buy-it-Now is outta sight and too high as well.

    Depends where you live, revolvers are higher in some parts of the country. You don't see many 8 3/8" barrels but less people are looking for them. It is great to shoot and there is very little recoil. It should bring about 500 on the auction.

    Its worth whatever the market can bear. (IE you never REALLY know until you try to sell it).

    Assuming 95% condition with all original accessories, I'd guesstimate yours at say $600-650.
