Colored or transparent Pellet BB guns

I am looking for a either a colored, transparent, or NON-replica CO2 Pellet BB gun. I dont want the pellet gun to look real firearm.

I hear they can be purchased at Wal-Mart but I have not seen them. Can anyone help me out?

    I've seen transparent airsoft guns but never a CO2 bb gun. Do you know who allegedly makes them?

    yeah they were airsoft guns but my son does not want that. He specifically asked for a BB gun. I have heard recently that people are mistaking BB guns for real firearms so I am looking for one that is clearly distinguishable.

    BB and air guns can fire damaging and even potentially lethal projectiles and generally will NOT get the "transparent" or "brightly colored" treatment that designate harmless airsoft guns.

    More important, airguns can't get mistaken for "real" guns until/unless some idiot presents them that way.

    I think that point needs to be made absolutely clear to any kid who is going to get one. (IE that if its ever mistaken for a REAL gun, there could be BIG problems. So, you don't take it out in crowded public places uncased, you don't ever point it at anyone, you don't bring it to school, etc). All the same rules that apply to real firearms should be applied to airguns (with the possible exception of needing ear protection when shooting).

    Personally, if I weren't convinced my kid were capable of understanding this and responsibly handling the airgun, I wouldn't buy them one.

    If you MUST make this airgun look like a replica (and I'd actually suggest NOT to do this), there is an easy "fix". What you do is buy them whatever gun you/they want, and then put bright red or orange marking paint on the gun to indicate it isn't a real firearm.

    Lets propose a thought experiment. You take your painted orange gun and point it at a cop and see what happens.

    At best you *might* buy yourself an extra 2-3 seconds before the cop shoots you, but I wouldn't even count on that. Most cops aren't stupid, and most of them have given some thought or explicitly trained for this EXACT scenario, ie what to do when some yahoo points a brightly colored gun at them.

    The point of the blaze orange tips and brightly colored fake guns is that in the post-Columbine world, the idea of kids with ANY realistic looking firearms scares the crap out of many people.

    So the idea isn't to convince COPS that the guns aren't real (you'd have to be a pretty stupid kid to point a fake gun at a cop), but rather members of the public who don't necessarily know anything about guns at all, and may be paranoid about ANY guns.

    But this is a whole other issue.

    Again, personally I see no reason to make a BB gun look like a fake gun, when in practice its supposed to be treated like a real gun. If you check out the Co2 cartridge powered BB/airguns, most of them are designed to resemble specific REAL pistols.

    For example, somewhere in my attic I have a Crosman air revolver that looks like a Colt Python.

    Which is exactly what I would do with a real gun if I was expecting an encounter with the police.

    Beantownshootah has given you good advice: paint it bright orange, flourescent green, yellow, etc. However, bear in mind that no matter what it looks like, it is still a dangerous weapon when used improperly. Many localities consider bb or pellet guns a firearm and will prosecute firing one in a populated area as severely as a cartridge firearm regardless of what it looks like.

    A 19 yr old here pulled a bb gun (beretta clone ) at a supermarket and walked out unharmed - later apprehended (car & license plate description) a week later pulls out same bb gun at a mini mart clerk shot him with a 9 MM
