Without any snarky comments
could someone please assist me in disassembling a 1911 with a full legth guide rod and Bull Barrel.
there is a hole about three quarters of the way down the guide rod to keep the spring compressed.
any help would be appreciated

Hello grasp the frame with your right hand but with your fingers along and on top of the slide after making sure the pistol is empty take your left hand and with palm of your hand on top of slide push your two hand toward each other when you get the slide almost all the way back the slide stop pin leg will line up with the dis-mount notch with your left hand index finger tip you can push against the slide stop pin tip and the slide stop can be removed and the slide barrel recoil spring guide rod and recoil spring plug will all slide forward off the frame as it stars off the frame you need to cradle the spring and guide rod to keep in next to bottom of barrel . doing it this way you can remove top half in 5 Seconds with practice reinstall in same amount of time,"PRAISE THE HARD-BALL GUN" FWIW a full length guide rod makes a good giv-away be cause it is a worthless feel good BLING item that does nothing to improve the function of a 1911 TYPE pistol . 0
