Glock trigger pin and block pin half width???

I just got a new used 3rd gen glock 22 with a GVS serial number prefix. Best I can guess with the resources available to me is it was made in 2005. Supposedly it was a gun sold directly from Glock to a law enforcement officer at LEO discount, and no modifications made. But here's the problem. The trigger pin and locking block pin are only half the normal width??? They don't look as though they are broke, and the gun seems to function. I don't see any marks that show they had ever been taken out, and the gun has obviously been shot because it hasn't been cleaned. Anyway where I'm getting is these half length pins look like they are factory? I already ordered replacements, but was wondering if maybe Glock actually did that on a production run or maybe this was a display model and I was kinda miss informed? Any input appreciated.

    The trigger and locking block pins could have been taken out without getting any marks on them. If they are only half as long as they are supposed to be they may not be locking into position properly.

    I would just wait for the replacements to arrive and install them in the gun. Since the gun is used anything is possible from some garage bench gunsmith. I cannot imagine what benefit someone thought they could be gained from making them shorter.

    Yea, thats what I don't get, why make them shorter? I don't even know where someone could get a half length pin or why they would? Don't know, but my new pins will be in Monday, and I wasn't planning on shooting it this weekend.

    I gotta stop picking up second hand glocks, people really abuse them. You should have seen the Model 34 I thought I got a fair deal on till I got it home and really got a look at it. Tell you what, I carry a little streamlight microstream flashlight everywhere with me now. Thing was I examined the heck out of this Glock, or at least I though. Again, didn't notice the pins, or lack there of half until I got home. Didn't cost me $13 for two new pins shipped and a dollar donation to the NRA from midway though, so no biggy.
