5.56 Primers
Not sure if its mine or some brass I picked up. either bought or at the range. What my question is, is how deep does your firing pin go into the primer. Some of the ones I have look to almost puncture the primer. Have not seen any I could see light thru but its that close. The cases are all I think militry crimp. They are real hard to get out but it could also be the sealer on the primer.

I have had this to happen from time to time with all ammo. I shoot alot of LC and Fed. 5.56 ammo. The primer is a little tougher to get out with the crimp, and I don't think that LC uses primer sealer but the Fed. stuff has it. 0 -
I've seen that on some brass. I think some AR hammer springs are stronger than others. And some ammo is hotter. 0 -
I'm sure the firing pin has a mechanical stop that determines the depth of the primer hit. 0
