I've got a small bench and bags which I get a fairly steady rest with. Granted I would like it better if the bench were set in concrete, but,,

I had trouble with photobucket yesterday. My anti-virus brought up a warning page stating they detected a threat. Let me see if I can find a better image host. I can better illustrate my problem with images.

OK, went to image shak to host pics.

This is an example of what I'm getting with the Nikon.
What I did was zoom back enough to bracket the four red squares inside the 100 yard reticle circle.

For some reason I'm not maintaining a steady enough sight picture with it. I think it may stem from trying to controll such a large aim point.

    Now this,,

is representitive of what the rifle is capable of. I shot those with the Weaver 2-10x38 V10 Classic mounted up.
A friend of mine believes he has one of the old Stoney Point turret caps that I can use for the elevation turret. With that I can run a few shots through the chrono and calculate bullet drop and then mark the cap for specific elevation changes.
