has anyone had a problem shooting black talons through a glock 27?

    Shooting Black Talons????????? I thought they were for collecting only with the prices they have been fetching.

    I have shot plenty in my 19!! They are not different that the non-lubalox coated SXT's!! Some have told that the SXT means "same exact thing"!!

    i use black talons in my glock 26 & 27 with no problems
    dont really like the 9mm ones though to heavy for my liking

    Why use over priced 10 year + old ammo in what I am assuming will be your carry gun when there is BETTER new production ammo out there?

    I think the original Talons are still plenty decent as defensive ammo, and if that's all I had, sure, I'd carry them, but I think there are three good reasons not to:

    a. The ridiculous hype over this ammo has turned the rounds into expensive collectors items, not worth shooting.

    b. Current manufacture premium ammo (including Winchester SXT ammo) is just as good, if not better than the Talons.

    c. Should you ever actually get involved in a shooting with this ammo, some zealous prosecutor could try to make an issue of the ammo choice. IE, obviously if you've gone out of your way to stock your gun with expensive controversial banned ammo, you're some kind of lunatic. What, were you TRYING to go kill someone?

    Yes, we all know that the "evil" black talon ammo is functionally no different than the ammo sold in gunshops everywhere, and carried by cops everywhere, but in my opinion, the ammo just carries too much baggage with it to use this way.

    Winchester Ranger SXT is the 5th generation of the Black Talon...

    They should function just fine, but find some Ranger on the auction side and buy something a little more current!

    Dont have a G27, but my G19 handles them just fine. Thats what I carry in it.
