Winchester model 250 lever action 22lr
I have this Winchester model 250 that does not always eject the spent casing all the way and a new cartridge jam togeather. I have ejected several cartridges without fireing them without any problem.

Sounds like there is something wrong with the ejector. If you look at the front of the bolt as you open the action the extractor is closest to the outside and the ejector is on the inside. the head of the ejector is "L" shaped. The top of the "L" holds the case against the extractor and near the full open position the ejector's rearward motion is stopped, but the bolt continues. When this happens the bottom of the "L" holds the inner side of the case head as the extractor continues to pull the other side of the case head. The effect is the mouth of the case begins to rotate toward the ejection port. Eventually, the extractor looses its grip and the case is sent spinning out of the receiver. The upper part of the "L" on yours isn't holding the case/unfired cartridge and the extractor is letting go as soon as the case/unfired cartridge clears the chamber. Yours probably won't cycle unfired shorts either.
Just my best guess! Try replacing the ejector and see if that does the trick.0 -
Next time you have it taken down for cleaning, be sure to inspect the area above the bolt for signs of galling or chattering; mine had a small amount of rippled metal in this area, and started to mis-extract, stovepipe, and then wouldn't feed a round or extract at all.
There is some very soft metal on the inside of the receiver above the bolt on most of these rifles, and rapid manipulation of the lever seems to aggravate the situation.
BTW-you do have a loose extractor as well.0
