Kahr PM9 or PM40
Which is better? PM9 or a PM40 for a carry weapon.

I have the steel version (MK9)in 9mm, a friend has the same in 40 cal. Pretty sure they're the same size, same should be true of the poly version. Recoil is a touch more in the 40 but no big deal. 0 -
I just shot a PM9 with the plastic frame...I really liked the gun and the recoil was really very controllable. 0 -
PM9 is my personal carry piece. You can shoot +P+ 9mm loads and they recoil considerably more. 0 -
another vote for the PM9, with a short barreled pistol, Less recoil and muzzle blast is a good thing IMHO. Get one with night sights. 0 -

"Better" is a bit subjective, but personally I'd take the PM9.
Recoil is a bit brisk in the 40 cal version.0 -
i've carried the PM9 and really liked shooting it. in contrast, i had a glock 22 (40cal) that i sold because of the recoil. i have a steel 1911 in .40 now and the recoil is just about right (for me) it's alot heavier than the pm40 and has a 5" barrel. 0 -
That settles it PM9 it is. 0 -
Step up to the CW45. That's the one I want. 0 -
My buddy CCW's the PM40. It is a lot of power in a small package. He and I are both avid 10mm auto fan so it is nice to have only one bullet to reload for. 0
