savage 720
i have a savage model 720 16 gauge, serial # 94xxx, engraved receiver has 3 ducks on one side and upland birds and dog on the other side, 28" barrel, wood and metal is in great shape...anyone have any info or price on this gun...i paid $75 for this and an 870 wingmaster 12 gauge...wondering how good of a bargain i made...

75 for the pair, or 75 each? You didn't mention what condition the Wingmaster is in.
Either way, you made out pretty good.
I'd wager the Savage is worth at least twice what you paid for it. Try doing an advanced search of completed auctions on the auction side.0 -
75 for the pair, and the wingmaster is in perfect condition with a 30" barrel and checkered wood, gun looks like it came straight out of the box, the old boy i bought them from was moving into a seniors home and couldnt have his guns, also came with a revelation semi auto 22 lr for $10. 0 -

Re. your recent acquisitions. By all means follow up with Scott's suggestions; the advanced search for completed sales of similar firearms will tell you a lot. Keep in mind the condition of yours vs. those listed.
There have been Savage 720s and Remington lls, (of lesser quality/condition), selling here on GB for much more. Probably, in the range of 2-3X your total amount you paid for all three! Re. the Rem 870 Wingmasters, well used, likewise.
Re. the 22, I have no idea of value personally, but wouldn't be surprised if it was probably worth your total payment to him.
Just in case you weren't already aware of the fact .... you stole them from that gentleman. He must have figured that you'd appreciate them and take care of them. If he wasn't a relative before this, he might be now. If not a relative, he might should be at least a best friend!
