Their's a new lure out called "redfish candy" or some such. Resembles a Bass spinner bait. Supposed to work really good.A lot of tourney anglers using it these days.
They may hook more anglers(in bait shops) than fish tho..[;)]
WRONG... That one is a "FLY"

Here's the one i was referring to.

Have you considered a gold spoon? We put a hurtin on them a few years back using nothing but gold spoons.

I use a gold spoon tipped with a little white strip of fish. I also have good luck on Chartreuse or gold curly tailed grubs with again a strip of white bait fish.

I lived in Cocoa and worked at the space center during Apollo. A red and white mirror lure works OK. I think that if you can find reds when feeding almost anything works. Have you ever fished the big culvert just behind the VAB. You can get there by launching at Titusville.

fishkiller41, It is a hot spot when the water is running out. I am sure the locals know about it. It is also good for snook and trout.

When I lived in Cocoa in the 60's there were lots of mullet in the Indian river. At certain times of the year as far as you could see there were huge schools moving down the river. Also lots of pelicans. Are they still there?

In s. Louisiana, cut mullet or cracked crab on the bottom. Artificials, cocahoe minnows in motor oil w/ red jig head, sparkle beatles, or grubs. All work well.

Not this spring Bama.We had a 10 day freeze in Dec-Jan.Killed enough Snook that they suspended the season .The Mullet made a great comeback once the net-ban had been around a while.
I remember the huge mile long & wide schools of Black Mullet, when here on Summer vacation as a kid.
