Which Lyman Front Sight For Marlin 81?

I am installing a Lyman receiver sight in place of the factory receiver sight on a 24 inch barreled Model 81 Marlin.My quandry is which height Lyman 17 Globe Sight to use?They are avaiable in three heights;0.404,0.494,and 0.594.All measurements are in inches.Measurement is fron the bottom of dovetail to center of sight.The factory sight currently on rifle is dovetailed in place and from my rather crude measurement I figure it is about 0.400 inches tall.The Lyman 57mr rear sight will have to clear a leaf type barrel sight for the sight picture.My shooting will be at 50 yards or closer.Any thoughts would be appreciated.Thanks!
