Smith & Wesson Pistol
I have a Smith & Wesson 32-20 OTG revolver. Single action. The gun is in very good condition and I was wondering if anyone would know any history on the gun or its value?

Hello If this is a large S&W top break single action it may be a No.3 single action Target that may be chambered in 32/44 a special cartridge for Bulls-Eye target shooting . If you double click on my name it will allow you to send me an email and I can then send you a picture of mine to compare with yours . I don't think you could even chamber a 32/20 but DO NOT I repeat DO NOT fire any cartridge in this pistol until you find out what model it is all the single action S&W revolvers with the exception of a few special order K32 and K38 were all made as double action pistols. The Top Break pistols are NOT strong enough for 32-20 cartridges. 0 -
If it is indeed a .32-20, don't shoot .32-20 rifle cartridges in it. The case is the same as those loaded for .32-20 pistol but pressure is much higher and can damage (blowup) the revolver. The cartridge box MAY be marked "For Rifle Only" and it may not be. Just be sure which cartridges you have before firing them 0
