Colt Delta Elite 10mm

Can anyone provide me with a date of manufacture list for a Colt Delta. I cannot find any thing that is new enough. Thanks in advance.

Anyone have any specific information on the Colt Delta Elite Custom Edition. I am interested in knowing if Colt fixed the problems associated with the early Delta Elites? ( guide rod breakage, Cracking Frame?)

We need something more to go on, like a serial number. We have Colt experts on this forum who with a serial number can date a Colt 1911 back to 1911.

If I recall correctly, the original Delta Elite's came out in 1987 and were marked "First Edition". Production run for around a decade and various levels of success. There was a very small number of early guns that had frame cracking issues so they later released the "enhanced" version which resolved that issue, as well as other minor upgrades.
They actually have just started up production on them again after announcing it at the SHOT show. I am a 10mm addict and have countless models, including a couple dozen or so 1911's and the Colt Delta Elite's are in the middle of the pack at best, but the Delta Gold Cup rates higher, they still aren't close to being as accurate as a Springfield Omega Match or especially the very fine Dan Wesson 1911 10mm's.

I have had a little work done to my Colt Delta...it is now very accurate and has a excellent trigger pull.
