Need help on a commemorative rifle
Hello to all, I recently purchased a collection of winchester model 94's and I have been able to idenentify all of the guns but this one. The gun is blued with alot of engraving work of various gold field maps on it and the hang tag says it's a Klondike centennial. My problem is when I google search it all I find is the klondike gold rush guns?? My gun is engraved one of 450 and has a serial number that is a KLD01**. Can anyone help me place a value on this peice for insurance and possible resale value. As always thank you all for your knowledge and time

I bought eight comemmoratives that are NIB and 9 colt pistols from this one guy. I got the Kentucky 1 of 500, the klondike 1 450, The alaskan purchase,the winchester centennial, the nra 100 yr, The bicentennial, the canadian and the buffalo bill. Then on the colt side I got a enickel python NIB, A frontier buntline 22-22mag,A 70 series mkiv nib, a 1908 hammerless .380, A 1903 hammerless 32, a woodsman in a eubanks rig, a colt lightning .22, a colt .25 vest NIB, and a newer 80 series. I pretty much hit the gun lotto. I have now thanks to your help, properly appraised all the weapons and feel like I have made a great investment.. Thanks again 0 -

carhauler89...congrats on your good eye and excellent purchase! Luck favors the prepared mind! You probably know this, but from one Com collector to another, don't shoot your investment away! The investment quality of Com rifles and pistols goes away when they are shot, or in the case of revolvers, turned so the timing line shows. Sadly, they must remain "safe queens" only for viewing and admiring. You have done really well by getting the "1 of..." and it would be horrible if you lost your potential investment by shooting it up. Years ago I, too, lucked into a Colt Com collector that had to get rid of his guns due to financial difficulties and I picked up a dozen or so, including a matched Nevada set of .45 and .22 and low # .45's and .22's, all in the boxes and at bargain basement prices! They still look great in the boxes and will be there for the grandkids to decide what to do with them! Again, congrats on your keen eye! 0 -
I already had several other com guns that I had purchased from this guy years ago. I have traded guns with this guy since I was 21. He called me about six months ago and ask me to come see him. When I got there he said ya know all I had was two girls and they could care less about my collection. He then went on to to remind me about how many trades we had made over the years and that he would like for me to have the opportunity to enjoy them. So I picked out the guns I wanted and made him a ridiculous offer and he took it. I told him I was just joking around about the price, he said he was just glad they had a new home.I already bought another safe because I was out of space and that where they will reside. I will have them long after he is gone and will have fond memories of trading with him. 0
