Can anyone tell me how to replace the push rod that ejects the shells from this type of gun?

    one thing for sure is put EMPTY shells in all chambers of the cylinder before trying to turn the rod this will keep you from ruining the ejector STAR be aware the rod may be left hand threads I don't know exactly on your model I think some early were left hand and later changed.

    All threads are right hand thread on the army special.

    1 unscrew the knob on the end of the ejector.
    2 push the rod down about 1/2 inch and unscrew the ratchet.
    3 Slide the cylinder off the rod.
    4 Using the correct size spanner wrench, unscrew the rod bushing from the crane.
    5 Remove the rod and spring.

    Assemble in reverse order, make sure you align the ratchet correctly with the factory mark when re-installing it, and after it's installed you have to peen the shaft to lock it in position. But you can use a drop of blue loctite for that instead.

    It can be tricky to straighten these rods but it can be done.They need to be perfectly straight or they bind.
    Hoosier gun works may have that rod.
