1886 French Lebel

Does anyone have information on this rifle? I aquired this rifle in Afghanistan, and it has decent rifling and original wood stock. Is it firable? Is ammunition available? If I want to sell it, are there buyers? What is a rifle like this worth?

  If its firable would depend on condition, do you know a good gunsmith?
  
  Lebel was one of the early smokeless powder rounds. some loaded ammo is avaiable, components too if you reload.

  there are definately buyers--I recently sold one and got a little over $500 for it. Ammo is available from Midway for around $25 a box. As to it being fireable you should have a competent gunsmith check it out first. If you post some pics we might be able to tell you a better ballpark figure on value-theres a sticky on the front page how to do it.
