value of old ammo - 25-25 Stevens

I was given some very old ammo this week. Does anyone know what it would be worth? It is 25 UMC 25-25 Stevens cartridges, they are somewhat tarnished but look like they would clean up OK.

  I can tell you that if you "clean them up" they will be worth less than they are now.

  The 25-25 Stevens is a bizarre looking cartridge because of its excess length to diameter ratio, so it is unique looking - like a shortened pencil. It was first introduced in 1903 and lost out to the 25-21 Stevens which was shorter and developed slightly better ballistics. The original loading used a 86 grain, 0.257-inch diameter bullet with an approximate velocity of 1520 fps.
  
  While the 25-25 Stevens is neither rare nor scarce, the nominal value of a single 25-25 Stevens cartridge in good condition has a value listed by the World-Wide Gun Report of approximately $5.00.
