Loads for .38-40 Blackhawk
I am wondering if anyone loads for this gun. The loads that I find are for the older Colt thin cylinder wall revolvers. I'm looking for something that rivals the .45 Blackhawk/Contender loads.

Had a Buckeye .38-40/10mm a few years back and did a fair amount of loading for it. Worked really well with 200 Grain XTP's after I put a cannelure into them with a Corbin tool. Never really surpassed the 10 mm performance parameters in deference to the thin brass.
I should have the load data around here somewhere, but I'm guessing you'll hear soon from someone working with that combo now.
