Browning Challenger Barrels - one question

Since I may be paying money based on the answer I hope it's ok to use ask the experts as opposed to general discussion. Any way, I have a Browning Challenger II, I have an opportunity to purchase a very nice Browning Challenger III barrel (target) for it. Question: are they interchangeable. thats it! Any pointers greatly appreciated.
