TOZ-17-01 .22lr russian

Does anyone have a source for a new magazine for this gun?
I just bought this from a friend and it shoots great but the mag doesn't feed worth a crap.
I have never seen anything about this gun on this site so i have my fingers crossed.
OR
Is there another brand magazine that will fit?????

    The question I asked is for a russian TOZ(tula?)17-01 .22lr bolt action rifle magazine.

    To my knowledge, there are no new mfg'ed mags for the TOZ 17. The best advice I can offer up is to look often -- here, rimfirecentral, gun shows, etc. They are tough to come by. I've gone so far as to purchase an inferior 17 just for the mag.

    I am starting to think this is a lost cause.
    Does anyone know if another brand mag is close
    enough to modify it to fit?[?]

    have you tried to properly fit the magazine to the gun ? can you better determine what's causing the feed problem ?

    I have tried but the mag I have is just plain old and worn out.
    There is severe wear to the top feed "ears" and it spits out 2
    at a time or feeds 1and pops another up verticle when the bolt is cycled.
    The spring is pretty worn out too.
