Remington sights

Folks, I am in need of a front sight for a Remington 700 in 458 Mag. caliber, circa 1964. I don't know when or if these sights ever changed appearance over the years, but I would like to get one appropriate to the age of the gun. I would buy a front and rear if necessary just to get the front. It has a gold dot, and the blade drifts into the base, in order to cover a screw that anchors it to the barrel. Does anyone out there know of a source that might have this sight? I'm trying to keep this gun as pristine as possible! Thanks for your time. Happy Shooting! Barry Lafferty

    Are the front and rear sights the same on a Remington Model 7 and the Remington Model 700 ? I need a set for a Model 7 and wondered if 700 are the same.Thanks

    the newer ones are (height may vary slightly, depending on barrel profile).

    Any other input on these will the screw holes be the same
