If memory serves me, I believe the rifles were Henrys.

When the series started it supposed to be just after the Civil War, however, people were packin' guns and leather that wouldn't be invented for 8 - 20 later, not big on historical accuracy.
Most of the rifles were Winchester 1873's and 1892's. I was amazed in one episode to see Little Joe using an 1873 Musket version. For handguns they all used Colt SAA type pistols, though many of the pistols used for TV shows in the 50's and 60's were Great Westerns produced in Los Angeles. I've seen a rare use of a Remington revolver once or twice.
I had my two grandsons, age 5 and 6, watching Bonanza this afternoon and they loved it. I tried to change the channel to look for a cartoon and they said, "No, we want to watch that."

In one episode, they show Hop Sing cleaning a Maynard carbine.

In the early episodes, "Little Joe" carried a Colt Model 1851 Navy revolver. The "Henry" rifles were Model 1892's with their frames brass plated and the forestocks removed.
