Need value of a Ft Knox safe part II
Cartod: I built a forklift adaptable carpeted base for it out of pressure treated 2X8. I have two golden rods in it and always keep a couple of renewable X-large silicia gels in there also. I need all that because at 6X4X4 it's right at 100 cu ft. It takes care of the humidity problem perfectly.
Like I said, it's rather amazing how many people come in the garage and never even notice the monster. I guess part of the reason is that the garage is also a full woodworking shop with table saws, radial arm, shaper-joiner etc etc. Plus extensive shelving.
It's funny. When people do notice it a lot say, "is that a safe?" !!
Go figure.
Like I said, if you have guns, you love guns. If you don't have a safe you are flirting with physical and mental disaster.
