When do the new law go into effect Cali for Ammo

    I believe it is Febuary 2011.Time to hoard a load or start reloading.

    This time next year, but it only applies to handgun ammunition and only to people who don't hold dealer FFLs. I can already see 12 months into the future that this one is going to lead to mass confusion with sellers thinking that no one in CA can buy any ammunition on the net.

    Mark, is that a standard firearms dealer FFL? Or will there be a
    separate ammo dealer license to sell to CA, similar to the current
    DOJ number for firearms sale?

    To hell with 12 months...

    That issue still needs to be sorted out and if the DOJ moves at their usual speed, none of this will be clarified until AFTER the law goes into effect.
