I have a box of western 22 ammo in a blue and yellow box.On the inside flap is stamped,"ARMY LOT 308" 1940 86RE72X2Any idea of the value?

    whats the 22 ammo called that only uses a primer to fire. i need some quit 22 ammo and i have used this stuff before and remember all you can here is the click of the firing pin.

    For your needs, save on shipping and buy whatever 500 round brick of 22LR ammo Wal Mart, Dicks, Gander Mtn or your local gun store has available. For my 10-22's, I buy a 50 round box of 4-5 different brands, find out what shoots most accurately in my rifle, then buy that one brand and bullet type in bulk whenever I find it being sold.

    The availability of .22 ammo has been problematical since nobama was elected, causing the sheeple to panic. Although it appears to be subsiding over time. I've had problems getting my hands on my favorites, i.e. the Federal Bulk stuff and Mini Mag solids that Walmart sold. Either one would be great for your guns, with the Mini-Mag being of the best quality. You might try the on-line net ammo vendors, lately that where I've been getting my stuff.
