Winchester 55
I saw a model 55 at one of my local gunshops today and wondered what is a realistic price on this. It is in 90-95% condition and really nice looking. The owner is asking 160.00 otd. I have found a few on the auction side and wondered if they are asking to much or is this one a good deal?...thanks bull

I'll assume this is the .22 automatic single shot (for $160.00). kind of top dollar (it should be almost new for that price). 0 -

That's what it is MW. I found a couple on the auction side and they are asking over 500.00 for one. The other one has a crack and some repair and they are asking about 250.00....bull0 -
Asking $500 for a $200 rifle is a pipe dream... getting it is not a reality. $160 is a decent deal, but nothing to write home about. 0 -
Remember guys, there are two different winchester model 55's. The single shot 22 auto would be somewhere close to that price in excellent condition. But! The other model 55 (lever action varient of the model 94) would be many times that in comparable condition. Be sure which one is advertised at 5 to 6oo. 0 -

You apparently did not read (or comprehend) bull300wsm's second post (where he confirmed that the gun in question is a .22 rimfire semi-automatic single shot rifle).0 -
Thanks guys for the info...your help is always appreciated....bull 0
