missing Stevens 235 forearm
Finally got my hands on my Grandfathers Stevens double barrel 12 gauge with hammers. Unfortunately my brother that was storing it has lost the forearm. Can anyone locate one, or have a picture?
Thank you,

I don't have a photo and Stevens was such a prolific manufacturer that many of their models don't get documented. I am not familiar with the Model 235 and at first thought it might be a Model 325, another double that has lilttle documentation. Then I found a reference that stated:
"There were 61,000 Stevens model 235 hammer boxlock shotguns made between 1913 and 1932."
I would search the used shotgun barrels in your local gun shops, you might find that another forend will fit yours. And, you might find that well used examples can be had fairly cheaply, buy the gun and use the fore end, sell the rest off for parts. I think I picked up the Model 325 I have in Albuquerque for around $10 several years back.
Good luck
