Grizzly Brand ARs
What's a "Grizzly" brand AR? High quality? Almost bid on one last night on GB but had never heard of this brand before. Could not Google it fast enough to make an informed decision. It was an "as new" 223 AR15 for under $600. Seemed too good to be true. Was it?

LAR Grizzly? They make .50BMG rifles, among other things..
I think they put guns together for people...

they also make hunting 1911s in .357, .45 winchester magnum, and .50 AE among others.
they have a line of side charger ar-15s..0 -
What's a "side charger" type AR? (Sorry...I am new to AR style weapons...) 0 -
Basically the have bolt op handle on the right or left side, instead of the normal rear chargeing handle..
Sorta like an SKS or FAL depending on the design. Some move with the bolt carrier during fireing, some dont..
grizzly makes left, right and ambi models,
If I had to choose one, I'd choose one with the charging handle on the left side... that way a right handed shooter can clear/charge the gun with the support hand without dismounting it or reaching over the reciever.
thatstoobad, Those pistols are awsome.0 -

I don't think LAR Grizzly makes these any more, unless they just started again.0 -
Nothing wrong with the LAR stuff they did do some goverment contracts. I quess you could call them a major supplier of AR lower recievers. Are they better than any one else is anybodys guess. There right there with the DPMS's of the world. 0 -
they make AR lowers with what ever name you want on them.(contracted).they decided a few years ago to start offering them with the grizzly logo good stuff.they made the grizzly 1911 type magnum pistols from the 1980"s to the late 1990"s and a 50BMG rifle 0 -
Ok so now break my heart. A NIB Grizzly AR15 in 223 was on GB 2 nights ago for less than $600. A newbie who never bought on GB got it for $570 (no reserve). Did I miss a deal? How much pain should I suffer? 0 -
