    You have a 1911A1 pistol, as told in the other post. If you don't belive the answers you were given, then take the gun to a local gunsmith and see just what they tell you.
    As you were told it is a mixed parts gun. Being built by Bob Chow tells all we need to know.

    If he thought it was a mixed parts gun he could have just told me. I just got this pistol from my dad and am trying to find out more about it. I don't need :WRONG PICTURE!! ITS NOT A 1911!!

    After calling my dad again he told me my grand dads friend on Mission Street in san francisco named Bob Chow made this gun for my grand dad. THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS!!

    I did not read your previous post until I saw this one. Comments that you made (and which I had to edit out) are not allowed here in this forum under ANY circumstances. Mr. Myers is a well respected and long term member of our forum and while this does not grant him special privileges he, and all others here, warrant at least basic civility.
