Is pyrodex fffg powder good for flintlock 50 cal pistol?

Pyrodex may be hard to ligt with a flintlock action. I've used a lot of it with caplocks, but those who taught me how to shoot flintlocks years ago warned against it for that purpose - too many misfires.. 0 -

You can use the pyrodex but use your FFFFG priming powder in the bore too... 3-5 gr of that then your main pyrodex load.
Not worth it. Just buy FFFG Goex or any other brand (Grafs is pretty good too) for your flintlocks.0 -
