Remington No. 6 Falling Block

Are the buttstock's from a early Remington model 6 and the improved version interchangable? It would help my search for a replacement for mine if they are.

  I THINK they are interchangeable, but I have not compared them side by side. I have a model 6, if you have the improved model we could compare notes.

  Just discovered they are NOT interchangeable.
